Nuts and seeks, like pine nuts and flax seeds, also trick the body into thinking we are fuller than we really are.

Although not necessarily a "food", simply drinking a full glass of water prior to a meal will suppress the appetite, take up room and result in a lower caloric intake. This is also true for green tea extract, because it is known that it triggers the production of a bodily hormone liable for curbing of your appetite and is believed to also boost metabolism.

And also, last but not least, those of you with a sweet tooth will probably be pleased to learn that dark chocolate is truly a diet aid because the bitterness serves as a natural appetite suppressant.
